Those that use lavender in your castor….is it detectable to your nose or does the castor still completely over ride it similar to what maybe spearmint or poplar bud oil might be. Also, I asked a question on phenyl acetic and castor a while back. I believe it may be a good additive, to my nose anyway.

Not familiar with using lavender. But has me wondering

Is this for a beaver and rat attractor or other such as canine or cat?

Lavender is mentioned as a castor booster in a lot of places. I usually see it listed in drops. I made an eight ounce batch the other day to try with double the lavender listed and I can detect it for sure. Going to let it sit a few months to see what it does. I guess what I want to know from anyone that knows is if in a beaver formulation should the lavender be able to be strongly detected in the castor, does it hurt it? It’s definitely not an offensive ingredient in the overall smell of the lure.
