NICE!

I started reading and was thinking "Who buys a fancy gun to shoot pigs and where are these red deer?"

Then I realized you were "over the pond" laugh

I have seen the boar hunts on TV (back when we had a sat) and it looks like fun

Cost me over $600 a year to feed my Jack Russel. $56.99 bag of Purina Pro Plan. Less than a month.

Where are you getting pro plan for that price? Ours went from that to about 77 a bag literally overnight. I was really happy with it but im not paying that price.

Wolfdog, I'm going to shoot it with the fiber optic setup it has on the rib. Like I said, it is a great sight picture and the trigger pull is exactly like my Benelli, and shooting at running pigs is a lot like shooting ducks, so I like the feel. I love the trigger on my 220 Swift that is around 1 pound and breaks like glass but on a driven hunt that is not functional.

I'll report back once the hunting starts in a couple weeks. At the start we'll hunt roe deer with the shotguns, and only in the mornings as it is still too hot for the dogs in the afternoon.

Good luck,

Pete

makes sense I like my Rem 742 because it fells just like my Rem 1100 shotgun since the 742 was a scaled down 11-48 frame made into a 4 round 30-06.
I do run a 2x scope
shoot a lot of running deer
mostly with shotguns with slugs but also with rifles depending on where exactly we are at by township.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

[Linked Image] It's a Browning BAR4 in 30-.06. I bought some Norma 180 grain pills for it.

Bolt actions for a follow up shot are a pain when the game is running and this thing comes to my face like my favorite shotgun.

In a few hours, I'll feel something in my spine if Wolfdog sees that somebody bought such a boring caliber, but i"m trying to calculate how much it would cost to get him and his wife to come to France with all his stuff and cook up some kind of .30 cal load that shoots like my 220 Swift, so I could kill a running pig at 2000 yards. I have to check my bank balance. They sell chicken ramen here, so I know she'd have no problem with French food.

I had a big zero on archery roe bucks this year due to a pulled back muscle and only calling in does and yearlings, but still had some great times in the woods.

Good luck to all.

Good looking weapon. You caused me to get on Gun Broker...
