All politicians are gonna play all angles. Always have...always will.

In most folks minds there is nothing we can do as voters except choose the candidate that "leans" towards what we think is the best.

Also, most (me included) see no use in endless critiquing a candidate's viewpoints any further after they are the nominee. We (including you) have only 2 choices for president when standing in the voting booth.....no matter how much discussion occurs.

What is there to discuss loosegoose?

Is Trump soft on 2A? Yes.

Is Trump a stronger 2A supporter than any President in recent history? In my opinion, yes.

Is he a stronger supporter of 2A than the opposing candidate? Absolutely, by a huge margin.

Did he appoint hundreds of federal judges that have since ruled favorably on 2A issues, Yes and they will continue to do so for years to come.

Should anybody that values their second amendment protections vote for Trump instead of Harris? Yes.

What is left to discuss? What is the point of rehashing his 2A failures over and over again?

Eh...wot?

Well it seems like we mostly agree, actually. But the point is that we should encourage all politicians and candidates to be better on all issues, including the 2a. We shouldn't just accept their "good enough" or "better than the other guy", and instead push them to be even better.

Good summary, Lugnut. I just wish you'd posted this on the first page so I could have stopped reading there.

At this point this discussion is wasted effort. We instead should be beating the bushes getting our compatriot gun owners registered to vote and to the polls. There is shocking numbers of outdoorsfolk who are not registered. Go get them registered!

Here, you are encouraged to vote, even if you are here illegally or dead. In fact, we may have more illegal and dead voters than live, registered voters.

Good idea for you people who live in swing states. Irrelevant for us that don't.

When I think of "stop and frisk" methods, I think of Democrat run, large cities where violent crime is rampant.
Personally I don't care if they kill each other until all of them are dead.
I also don't care if those same deadbeats have their rights violated.
If you are going to play stupid games, you deserve stupid prizes.
The regular law-abiding folks who are leaving the big cities in droves are on the right track. Move to an area where there is no crime so that you won't have to worry about being stopped and frisked, because there is no need for it there.

They'll all be swing states the way things seem to be going.

Don't believe me?

Just scroll back thru and read Loosegoose's posts on this thread. And he is a trapper, maybe a hunter, too.

No you're not, unless you're registered to vote in Nebraska. Don't you know how the electoral college works?

Yet the majorty of those people leaving twke their political stance with them and try to change where they moved to into where thwy moved from. they dont understand cause and effect. A far right conservitive from calafornia is still a lib in a consertiave state.
