I still have a pair of Work & Sport bibs did the wax oil thing to years ago. Used them for bird hunting when I was doing Iowa pheasants and grouse up north back in 90s. Don't recall if I bought the mix or made my own? Used hair dryer and regular iron to do it. The are exceptional for shedding burs and can keep you dry when grass is wet or frost covered. I haven't hunted that way for years now. So really only use them when I have to blow snow. I still have my grandfathers Hawthorne canvas coat that I wore up top the bibs.
