I got some "Darn Tough" wool socks that were very tight and a struggle to get on since new, and I have skinny legs, lol
washing them just made it worse even though they get air dried, they actually cut my circulation, I've been trying to stretch them over a liter seltzer bottle when wet but it barely helps... any suggestions? 2 litre bottle?, lol

I buy mine a size bigger because I wear a base layer sock and a mid weight sock most of the winter
If I need the heavy wools it has to be really cold out
My base layer are nylon dress socks, mid layer are wool blend
And I have very bad circulation and neuropathy in my right foot

I wear mid-weight wool socks year-round with my work boots. The only time I wear heavy wool socks is when hunting or working in really cold weather. The wool seems to keep my feet cooler in warm weather than cotton did.

Cotton holds moisture, I also wear mid weight in the warmer weather

I don't like having pruned up feet

The foot fits fine, rather loose actually it's the darn upper leg part of the sox that's tighter than a crabs butt in ice water!

My Dad had the same problem, he bought diabetic socks
I call them, fall down socks
But they may be an option for you

I think I would try wetting the upper part of the sock and then stretching over a larger bottle. Let them dry there, on the bottle.

I’ve got a pair, good socks. If they’re tight I’d return or toss em. Freeze your feet in those suckers. I don’t cheap out on socks anymore unless they’re from Mr Socko…..those things are pretty sweet.
I never understood why a guy buys $500 work boots and then goes to Wal Mart and get a 6 pack of socks for 5 bucks…lol

It’s been said but wet and stretch and let dry, I’d try Fox River socks they’re knitted in Iowa, it can be tough finding a pair of socks that fit right I have trouble with my calves being too large as it stretches the sock out then it works under the arch of my foot and is very uncomfortable.

That's what I wear year-round. I wear the Bilbao model, a mid weight wool. I get eight or nine pair at a time. They last three-four years with daily wear.

you get them wet then air dry them over your form so that they dry stretched
dry stretching them doesn't hold , but wet forming them and letting them dry like that

if that doesn't work they might just be too tight
