1976 Ramcharger, real rust bucket but ran good.
After that drove cars for a few years before going back to trucks.
1989 Ford F-150 with a 302.
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

My first truck was a 5 window '51 GMC that I pulled out of a farm field and bought for $150. The title the guy gave me was for what I think was a 2.5 ton flatbed, so I never really licensed it. Not too long after I bought it the starter went out and being flat broke most of the time I could not afford a new one, so I would park in places that would allow my girlfriend (Yes, now she is now referred to as Wonderful Wife) could get enough space, preferably downhill, so I could pop the clutch and get it running.
On a very memorable trip up north to visit (Impress) her parents, we took along our two dogs in the cab with us. They did serve a purpose by helping to shield us from the water coming up through the floorboards when we ran into a big storm. It was quite the trip...and she still stuck with me! Wish I still had the truck too!
Our next truck was a '76 Chevy 1/2 ton we bought in 1979...like a new vehicle! The only problem was we had no other vehicle at the time and had to walk to car lots to find one, but that is a whole other story....

Mine was a Chevy. Don't remember the year. I have never owned a car since. Often wondered how I ever got along without a truck prior to that?

Hey Moosetrot: Did the title for that truck say the previous owners last name was F. Flintstone? Bet you got decent mileage out of those stone tires.

1980 Chevy Luv. Bright red. Paid cash brand new.
Guys at the lot didn't want to wait on me , they took one look at a young redhead girl and figured I couldn't afford anything.
I rode the wave in airbrushing murals on cahs, bikes , vans, trucks ...was a fun time on the cahlot.
The expression on their faces were priceless as I pulled out my wad of cash and drove my new truck off that lot a short time later. Forgot all about that model lol
