Sept 1 was the opening day for us of archery season, deer and elk this year for us both.
We hunted first 2 days for WTs on private land we have access on, we work for the rancher.
Saw our bucks that we've been watching all Summer but no shots.

Now we're on the bow hunting elk. Moving our tent today off our lot , down the road to a General area.
Sunday we're going back up for 7 days or so to hunt elk.
We always see and get into elk in this area but shots are few.

I'll post some camp pics when it's set and then once we're up hunting no cell service so I'll update when we get back.

Anti..., frontal shot

Yeah, no frontal shots for me !!

Husband and I both shoot Predator Longbows made in Texas. He knows the guy that makes them , for many many years.
I am 50# at 27 in. draw.
MY bow has 3 carbon laminations that makes it pretty fast and really easy to draw.
His bow has no carbon and is very quiet.

My bow. I shoot bois d'arc footed doug fir arrows.


Elk camp is almost ready.
