Heckuva opening morning in north central Missouri.
48 teal in 22 minutes, and we didn’t shoot into the big bunches.
Lots of young of the year birds.
They had a great hatch somewhere!
46 degrees.
No skeeters.
Good morning!

Looks like it was an excellent hunt.

We haven't had any teal on the pits yet, which is pretty surprising.

Took a couple of the grandkids this morning.
Little bit foggy. Helped us out by blocking the sun in our eyes.
48 in 45 minutes.
Kids had a blast. Grandson killed his 6. .410 bismuth. 6 water swats lol.

This mornings 2 man limit for my son and I. Teal and wood ducks everywhere, no hunters though.

Nice hunt!
I wish the powers that be would let us take a woodie or 2 during teal season. A heckuva lot of our woodies are gone before our regular season opens.

Every spot we looked at after we were done had tons of woodies. We get a shot at them in 3 weeks up here for our early opener. They hang around for a little while in October on the Mississippi River.

Are the drakes colored out yet?

The adults and early hatched drakes are distinguishable.
I believe Tennessee allowed woodies during teal season at one time. Maybe still do?
We produce a lot of woodies in the summer, but don’t get to kill them like they do down south during regular season.
