A few of whoever shows up, got a nice lion last year. Seeing fawns and elk calves this summer on the cameras a lot more now that we had an open winter, I stayed longer last year. Had some theft last year seems the lower the price the more people steal!

3 ADC rat jobs coming up In Oct.
Have to catch a few worthless coyotes on some hunting ground I have.
my buddy likes to catch a ton of beaver weather they are worth anything or not so he pays me to put them up.

Try to find some rats. Still not recovered from two years of very low water levels. Takes time to rebuild the numbers. Will run longer dry land lines in November for coon and canines. By trapping local for these species one doesn 't lose too much money. It will be interesting trying to navigate field with later silage harvests and lots of liquid manure to haul b4 freeze up.

Most surface apply and work in right after. some do incorperate but that is in many cases slower. I would say that with the newer equipment that more will be incorperated down the road. Semis are faster and much lower cost than huge tractors with incorperation equipment and miles of hose. The hoses do keep a lot of trucks off our town roads and that is the rationale for moving that way. Milk prices are up right now, feed costs are down so more might get incorporated. Last year and early 2024 were really tough years for the dairy industry in WI.

I’m probably gonna make a coyote blanket….my wife is wonderfully talented with a sewing machine,,, her first attempt at making me a full raccoon blanket turned out beautifully. [Linked Image]

Hit the coons hard on the farm. Mostly just to keep numbers in check so they don't decimate my corn. Undecided on whether I'm going north for bobcat and marten this year or head west to Montana/Idaho/Wyoming and try to hunt a wolf and or Lion. Low odds of the latter but it would be a good adventure. That would be the first 2 weeks of December.

Did a lot of nuisance coon trapping over the summer thinking I'll just focus on fox and yotes, red fox population seems pretty high near me this year

Coyotes, cats, and coon here. All dryland sets only. Putting up a bunch of waxed dirt to get ready.

I’m going for coon, coyotes, bobcat, grey fox, red fox, otter, and even possum. I don’t discriminate. Any of these fur bearers get in my trap I’m skinning it.

Mostly focusing on rats like the last few years. Might set a few foothold for coyote and likely just catch coons and skunks.

If the end up with a bob cat, a beaver, and a badger, I will consider that a success.
