Savall?

Asking for a friend of course.

I do, because I have a cover on the bed of my truck.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Interesting responses!
I wasn’t suggesting hiding them. Just wanted to know if anyone was in the habit of doing so. Certain things don’t tend to bother people. Like a bunch of muskrats. But a pretty red fox may cause an uproar around here. Mostly city dwellers who don’t have a clue.
I like the idea of people seeing catches and then recruiting you for further help.
Like many of you, I don’t ride my catches around all day and make stops where people will see. Just wanted to find out if anyone has had a bad experience or caught heck for this

Nope.

Went coyote hunting bout 10 years ago in Montana.
It was an easy winter with not much snow. Took my car to save on gas. Had a great 3 days of calling.
Don't remember how many I killed but..., it was a good trip. I had em all stacked on top and tied down for the 400 mile trip home on the roof top.
Cruising down I_94, I got alot of honks by those passing me. 9 outta 10 were a thumbs up, other 10% were a middle finger. Lol.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

No, I never would. Part of the problem today imo is a lack of the public being exposed to things like dead deer in truck beds. I remember being a little girl and always gawking to see if there was a deer in the back of every truck I passed during deer season. When you see dead deer (or coon, or coyotes) all the time in the back of trucks it becomes commonplace to you.

Take Nessmuck's response as the perfect example. Those girls at Dunkin may have been shocked or even appalled the first time they saw a dead beaver in his truck bed but now they look for them on purpose. Willing to bet, if a ballot measure about trapping ever came up they wouldn't vote against it, simply because of the nice beaver trapper who came through the drive-thru every day.

Exposure to the realities of nature and hunting is what's been fading away over the past couple decades, and what we need a lot more of.

Hitchhaul and a ratchet strap if needed. Heck, covering something down here will make it spoil. If I have to see stupid bumper stickers then folks can see dead critters. Folks down here don’t care and as already mentioned it’ll get you places to trap if you’re needing them. Besides, I ain’t ever seen someone stop and cover a dead critter in the road, why cover it in a truck?

I don't try to hide any animals in the bed of the truck, nor do I try to show them off.

If someone don't like what they see in the bed of my truck, then they can look another direction.

Beyond closing my tail gate to keep it from falling out on the road, NO I will not cover my kill. I live in town, I skull cap deer on my tail gate on the street in front of my house, clean rabbits and squirrels on the telephone pole in the alley.
