Yeah, I've done a lot of research on it today, but I was hoping there was a very rare chance someone have had the same issues.

The only reason I think its fuel related is that the CE light goes off after the event. If it was pressure or voltage the light should stay on I would think. An actual shop could hook it up to a good scanner while its running and check all the specs out for you. Call around, should get it done for around $100

A shop with a good scanner is worth it to pay to have it checked. The cheap ones don't do as much and the parts guys don't normally know much.

Anyone who works on their own vehicles should have a vacuum gauge, $25 or so.

90% chance it's one of those. Sounds like fuel delivery to me, but the electronic end of it.

When you say the needle drops, is the motor doing the same or is the needle not reading correctly.
If it was something mechanical it would be repeatable. Electrical will be intermittent with no rhyme or reason

I always start with the most common problem. I've never had to look further.
