Works well in 45 colt also

If you gotta use it, why not just reduce the 1 oz. load by 10-15% and work up from there?

That is one of the problems with reloading powders. I have a new, never used pound of Clays I picked up a few years back, but have no use for. I'd be happy to trade for a pound of Blue Dot. But we can't ship it.

That is indeed the problem. That jug of Clays should be easy to trade somewhere locally to someone loading 12 gauge. Also doubles a a pistol powder for some cases
