Providence Farm- Tell you 12-year old "nice action". Maybe sometime in the future he'll get to shoot one at actual rifle range Gun season open already?? Wow it's not even October. Didn't know states had gun seasons this early Youth seasons are often early. I think South Dakota's is in September. It was when my paratroop kid was either a freshman in high school. I think it was him, 3 of his friends, and 4 of us dads that went out by Chamberlain that year. They got one about mid-day on Saturday, one Sat evening, and one Sunday morning. I was about the only dad who had cut deer up so guess who did most of the knife work? The one shot mid-day on Saturday got quartered fairly quick and iced down, the other two got cut up in my garage on Sunday afternoon. I much prefer doing that work in November or early December when things are cooler. P.S. We also leave deer guts in the field and don't bring them home. I have seldom killed a deer in my home county so there's usually a road trip involved. Deer are field dressed almost as soon as we reach them.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image and let them have dominion and all the creatures that move along the ground". Genesis 1:26
