...We are determined to protect European economic operators engaged in legitimate business with Iran, in accordance with EU law and with UN Security Council resolution 2231... The 2018 blocking statute essentially prohibits EU companies from "direct" or "indirect" (via subsidiaries or intermediary persons) compliance with the laws listed in US sanctions annex.[2] It also does not recognize any verdicts by courts that enforce US penalties. I'm no scholar but from what I gathered Ishmael and Isaac were both Sons of Abraham but different Mothers. Ishmael founded Islam and Isaac founded Christianity. But as with most things, opinions vary and no two experts will agree.

It is being reported, but yet to be confirmed, that Israel struck Russian-controlled Hmeimim Air Base on the coast of west Syria in the vicinity of Jableh.

Geolocated footage confirmed the location, but Israel has yet to acknowledge the strikes. It appears some sort of munition facility was struck as evidenced by prolonged secondary explosions.

It is being rumored that Israel is clearing out a flight corridor to Iran, freeing it of any hostile air defense systems along the way. That speculation is also unconfirmed.

It's more than likely that the strikes targeted Syrian regime or Hezbollah sites, but the proximity to Russian units is likely to cause further escalation.

Russia has evacuated its personnel from their embassy in Lebanon and has told its citizens to leave Israel immediately.
