I got one for ya Crager,,,,,,how come the first gen mustangs are not worth much unless supper special?
I got this one for you Vinke. Its because an early Mustang is nothing more than a Falcon with different sheet metal, a car which was made for the no frills masses.

I believe it was created to compete originally with the nova and others. I do like a sexy falcon. There is a 63 for door with 36,000 mile. Original plastic still on the seats. Sitting in a garage on the farm. Sure with it was a 2 door,,,,, but it will make a cool slammer someday

They made piles of them. 64 1/2 , 65 , 66 Several million made. One of Lee Iacocca's success stories. They sold so good that those first 3 years was more manafactuered than the next 10-15 years after combined. Plus they were built good and survived. And yes , it was designed from the Ford Falcon.

Is there an era that makes them classic or the age of the vehicle?
I think it mostly refers to it's age. Generally , anything 20-25 years old is considered a classic. There are many eras of cars like muscle cars , post war , brass era and antique.

Okay, next question, I picked up a ‘95 Ford F150 as a beater truck, it’s in pretty good shape, is there a chance it could be more valuable as a classic?

Beauty is all in the eye of the beholder. To some yes , to others , no. I never thought that an AMC pacer would be a desireable car , but after the movie ' Wayne's World ' came out there is a group of people looking for those cars to restore them.
Seen a video of a guy with a Griswald queen family truckster reproduction that looked kinda cool. Even had the dog leash dragging off the back bumper.
Never thought that a Pinto , Maverick , or a Gremlin would be worth saving but there are people who covet them.

I got a question for all of you is a el Camino a truck or car???
Our Australian friends call that a UTE. I owned one once , fun fact , unlike a pickup truck the front of the bed is sealed and has no water drains on that side. I worked at a Chevy dealer when they were still sold. We for laughs take one and park it on a incline , nose down. Put a hose in the back and fill it with a about 12" of water. Then back the car up and come zooming down and hit the brakes hard. Huge gush of water goes flying.

Watch the Barrett/Jackson auctions on TV. Pretty interesting seeing what people find is worth their time and money to restore.

Here is an enjoyable movie car commercial for walmart promoting easy pickup. 1:31
Now , here is the challenge for the car geeks , at the very , very end of the commercial 1:28 you will see an ordinary red/white Ford pickup park in the quick pick up spot. It is kinda famous. Why ?
