I bought 14 of these body grips from a lady that was selling them. I can’t find who the manufacturer is. I’ve tried google, the T-man archives going 3 years back, trap collecting books and have found nothing. All 14 body grips are identical in everyway. They measure 12” x 13.5” the trigger looks like a MB style, they all have cable chain. There’s only 1 notch in the dog and all springs have 2 safety’s on them, a short one and a long one.

Species specific. no longer being made

Is Species Specific the brand name? And any idea what the longer safety hook is for?

Species Specific was the brand and the traps were called Dislocators. The long safety may of been to make it easier to get something out of the trap without having to fully depress the springs. Like yourself if you got an arm or leg caught in it.

SNIPER, nailed it...well thought out and designed trap.... I've got some here that are as strong as they were from day one.
Note: the adjustable trigger...tighten or loosen screws for your intended animal. The maker John Kulish from Oconto, Wisconsin really was a top notch designer/manufacturer.

They were in the catalogs when I went into full time trapping and thought I'd like to get some but Dukes fit my start up budget and by time time I wanted to get some they were gone.
