I think others have posted about similar traps. Seems the dog tends to break on them, but you may get enough use out of 1 to make it worth it. I like Victor cheese pan traps myself.

I haven't saw the cheese pan Victor's in store lately, I had these knock offs and quality was okay but some of them were real touchy. We've had a ton of mice in the house this year, not sure why

[quote=Donnersurvivor]After a couple weeks of dinking around trying to catch a trap shy mouse with my cheap traps I was ready to relent and resort to glue traps. When I went to get the glue trap I saw these plastic Victor traps, picked up a pair of them and baited one with butter, caught two problem mice in about 2 hours. I normally hate stuff that looks gimmicky and plastic but these Victor traps are awesome, easy to set and hard to rob the bait due to the recessed bait holder. What bait do you guys like for long term mouse sets? Peanut butter has been my go to but thinking about changing it up. For short term sets I'm really liking butter. [/quote I think peanut butter is the best bait, long lasting and catches most mice. My ma used butter to catch some mouse mice, but thankfully haven’t seen one of those for years. I have used most styles of traps and those plastic ones are nice ifin you don’t want to touch the mice, but I still catch most mice with the plastic cheese pan victors whether it’s mouse size or rat size

I had a couple similar to that one and the staples pulled out when it fired. Is that a Victor? Can't believe that would sell a trap like that.

I like these after the victor cheese pan, but I recommend staking them down I tried those and had mice get out of them. And you are right, they need to be staked down. I actually had a mouse run off with one.

melted choclote is the best bait, if the mice dosnt steal the bait(which it rarley does) then you can store em somehwere till you use them next and as long as it isnt hot they will be good till the next use without a mess
PETA is stupid.

Love those bait cup traps, however, the dog is very fragile, and that's what always fails.
