Guy stayed in that spot for three days. He slowly moved off over the next week before disappearing .

We had a mountain lion near a small public cemetery a few years back caught on camera.

Neighbor caught a spike elk on his game camera a few years ago. Either escaped from a high fence or from SW Oklahoma where we have them. I know the feeder location and he's too old to photoshop.

I will eventually catch a mountain lion. They are sporadically seen (actually seen) but are making into OK. I have a mile of river so I am in a travel corridor. Assuming my MB550s will hold it.

Hunted central MO many years ago armadillos were unheard of then but now they are common south of I-70. I’m finding their holes often now when hunting.

When I was in high school, I was bow hunting for deer in Camp Ripley, MN. We were tracking a deer one of my partners had hit. We saw a cougar running across an open field about 100 yards away. We were told at that time by the MN DNR we were mistaken, there are no cougars in MN. I think they have changed their thinking since then as there have been many sightings in recent years.

I've asked locals around where I live if there's wolves here. I get interesting stories. Fish and game claims there's no wolves in Nevada. That is pure malarkey. If they're in cedarville, nv is only 5 miles away. If there's moose here, there's surely wolves.
My first winter hunting Nevada I came across massive dog tracks in areas there is no possible way it was somebody's dog. The tracks were almost as big as my palm. Not a coyote and not a Labrador. Only leaves one other option.
Fishermen have been targeting dorado off northern California and southern Oregon. My brother in law caught a sailfish off the north jetty of Humboldt Bay. That is unbelievable, but this guy is not a fibber. He has pictures to prove it

We have Elk in Dewey county near Camargo on the South Canadian complete with a season. A roaming Elk is not that unusual, I've heard there are some in Cheyenne valley northwest of
Fairview also Mule deer there.

Was traveling a gravel road bout 6/8 years ago in the spring near Detroit Lakes Mn.
Seen 2 birds in the ditch.
Backed up and took a pic.
Have always been a bird nerd but had no idea what they were.
Took some goggeling but they were 100% Glossy Ibis.
At the time, I think the farthest north they had ever been seen was central Iowa?

I had no idea about Dewey County. Appreciate the info. That's where it probably came from.

In 2000 , I managed to call in two lions while calling cats/coyotes on Black Kettle. Pretty cool experience.

That is cool. I have a lion tag and would really like to put an effort into tagging one this winter. Not an easy task without hounds. I ran into a fresh den last fall while pheasant hunting. I knew it was around from fresh tracks on the ditch I pushed first for ducks, but still, being in brush above your hip and walking right into a den that looks like kids made a fort out of the brush made me back up a ways and gave me swivel head. I kept pushing the brush, just in a different direction.
I've been wondering how well calling would work.

Since I was mostly concentrated on cats, I spent more time on stand than I would for coyotes . From what I've read , same holds true for lions. Long sits , continuous calling .
