How much discounted will Tampa Beach front property be? I mean it's not like people won't rebuild in the same place just look at New Orleans.

I was just thinking maybe a fellow could land a chunk in a good location and make a retirement job renting jet ski, kayaks, and booking fishing charters. possibly build a few beach front places to rent out as well if you could get the right deal.

Big money investment people tend to do this with ever bad turn of events from housing market collapse and natural disasters. They make billions doing it. Maybe the little people should follow the lead.

What usually happens is that large corporations, many foreign, buy the land from the small property owners, who were devastated and develop it. Look what happened in Maui after the wild fire.

Well I guess the blizzards are better than 12 feet under water. This is the reason I didn't even look at Florida when looking for land. it's probably gun, pro business, pro home schooling so meet those requirements but failed the other test mostly in hurricane zone and limited hwys to get out.

Your state is great also but wife and that level of cold and snow don't mix.

With town moving in on me I'm always thinking about moving to other areas in the future.

Big companies make money because THEY HAVE MONEY TO RISK wink

If you have money to gamble on your venture/dream then go for it

My luck would be I would get it all like I wanted it, very little in the bank and another hurricane would take all of it
But that is just the way MY luck goes, yours may differ wink

Of topic but I will take a snow storm any day or any of the weather they have there. I would not take a chunk of land there even if they gave it to me. I would never want to step foot there it has too many people for me.

Side Note:
For the heck of it I searched land for sale in Florida. Zillow has >42K listings of just land for sale in the state. Prices seem very reasonable and even cheap to comparison to what I'm use too.

Florida is one of the few states many insurance companies don't want to operate in due to all the storms. The ones that do are very expensive in comparison to most other states when it comes to homeowners insurance.

Lots of people moving OUT of Florida, tired of the heat, humidity, hurricanes and now exorbitant insurance....It's a nice place December through March, lol

Dont go to Fla PF.
Place is polluted with Cubans and old French Canadians.
