Really a farm not “The Farm” . LOL The wife’s cat numbers are out of control we found a farm with a rat problem so these guys volunteered it was very nice of them. Will drop these cats where I dropped 9 off the other day so we hope to be down to a handful by tomorrow. Food will also be dropped to get them settled in to their new home.

We used to have that problem and I'd periodically take a bunch to "the farm."

We have since started keeping two or three females which we have spayed as soon as they are old enough.

No males, they roam and the females are better hunters. Our overpopulation troubles are over.

All are outside cats. I don't like a cat in the house.

Eh...wot?

I would imagine songbirds are pretty scarce around your place.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Frogs get hammered not much on the occasional birds the falcons hammer the songbirds here. Pulled my cam chip cats coming and going all night one was parting out a frog in front of the camera.

Down to 5 now 3 by Monday then they get the Bob Barker treatment. Snip snip.

If you want wildlife, outside cats are bad. If you have a farm and don't want rodents getting into everything, eating the food you put out for your animals, stealing from your garden and girdling your bushes and trees, cats are good.

I would not want to live in a farm house without cats in it.

this^^ we used to get over run with them but finally got all the females fixed. didn't bother with the males they will take off for days to a week at a time and eventually dont come back.

it really is odd now only have in a few around outside. We have 2 inside cats and one indoor out door cat because that one spent a cold night with a bracelet and stayed inside for a few weeks until it recovered. She decided she like to come in sometimes now.

mouse issues well we don't have them.

Anything you introduce into any environment changes that environment be it chickens, Turkey, K -9 s or humans it’s unavoidable. Chickens really do a lot of bad but then they do a lot of good it’s just a fact. Since my chickens are gone now the turf bugs are out of control pill bugs, millipede, crickets, spiders, earwigs and spiders are back.

We went from 2 female cats to 18 cats in 1 year. Got all 18 of them fixed and no more cats after a few years. The neighbors two houses down had a big tom cat that kept coming over. We caught him and got him fixed too. Man I e never seen a cat so mad when he woke up. When we turned him loose he sprinted home. We never saw him again.

My wife puts on dog videos for her doodle and the dog watches them, I can’t imagine what she would do if she had a cat in the house.

Outdoor cats around here are short lived. If the coyotes don't get them the fishers will.
