run I saw a Nissan with Cummings emblem on the side last week
didn't check the modle name. figured it would be a 70k plus truck so didn't bother. I'm not paying more for a truck than I did my first house and 2 acres.

I don’t understand way people spend the money they do for new trucks. I drive old vehicles that I pick up pretty cheap put a small amount of time and effort in them and drive them .Here is one of my daily drivers and in total I have $5600 in to it and probably 40 hours of work. Has 122,000 miles easy to work on and does what I need to do . Also run two Toyota’s 1993 and 1994 and a 1999 f350 diesel. I don’t have 20 grand in them all . They all run and used constantly. Plus insurance is way cheaper. My 1993 Toyota I bought for 900 buck order a motor spent a weekend putting it in and have over 35,000 miles on it and will be driving it today. For the price of a new one you could rebuild one from the ground up 5 times over . Here is what I bought and here is what it turned in to . [Linked Image]

I can't believe some of the top of the line fully loaded trucks with insane price tags of $100k-$120k or more.

It is just nuts.

There is now a big backlash to stuff like that , consumers are walking away and letting those trucks sit unsold. Buzzword for them sitting on dealer's lots , waiting and waiting for a buyer , they suffer from 'lot rot'

Cadillac has a new flagship EV car coming out soon , the Lyriq- $60k- $80k , who is nuts enough to buy that ?

Or even worse -

Best truck I ever owned and I have owned a lot.

Boco, I have a 2010, a 2019, and a 2024 Ford Ranger, the 2024 has bed metal so thin that you can't put a cap and ladder rack on them without Ford's "bed reinforcement kit", you can sit on the side of the bed and bend it. It will only support 88 lbs. My 2010 and 2019 are terrific trucks in every way, especially the 2019 with the 2.3 Turbo. DON'T BUY the new 2024's until they get all the structural problems corrected. less than 200 miles (yes 200) on the 2024 and Ford would not pay to correct the deficiency, cost me almost a grand to add bed supports and bed stiffeners.

That sucks wolfer, never heard they had that problem.
my 2022 is good, got the spray in bed liner and haul my 4 wheeler and skidoo in the box all the time.
Great little truck in the snow and bush roads, good clearance and lots of power.
Also 10g less than a tacoma.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
