left the bow shop with a lighter wallet and 10 point venom x. I believe those here that said the bolt was not seated properly were correct. Even though he has been using th x bow he was always in a hurry shooting it off. Today at the bow shop after it's inspection I was shooting it and I thought I had the bolt seated but I didn't even have it back far enough to engage the safety luckily so it would not shoot. I was in a hurry just trying to check zero. If I messed up that bad it's not hard to think the boy could also.

now we have 2. The new one does not need to be shot to unload is about70fps faster and has an illuminated optic. it's a little more narrow but longer and a little heavier. the trigger is also just a bit more far forward than I would like. I didn't care about more speed the old one we have is more than good enough and does the job comfortably out to 50 yards and thats more than good enough. I do like the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) and uncocking crank system at least so far. I don't like the safety is only on the right side and not ambitious like the mission.

I will shoot it a little further in a few and see what I think more of it. I'm not sure yet if I would have been better off to save 500 and just go with another mission about the same as what I have or if the crank, a little more narrow, nicer optic, and some speed was worth the 2x the price. I do think the mor narrow may have made the difference for my son to get the buck this morning instead of his cam hitting the rail on the stand when he shot.

Time will tell the mission I have had over a decade was money well spent hopefully this will be the same.
