Yezzum, understood, Angela. I often like to improvise . Also, the more you prepare, the less you need to cook every day. Not a thing wrong with warming up good meals . smile

You need to learn to make what you like with the limited amount of options available but everything ends up being fat, salt, sugar or carbs to build a meal you want to eat so it needs proportionate meal planning. A lot of “healthy”foods contain less of one bad thing and more of another bad thing so read your labels.

Plus people have different health concerns making the available “healthy foods” not so health to some of them. The sugar free candy I like is 25% fat but it falls under sugar free if you have high cholesterol it’s a no go.

The fact is a person needs to eat something so pick your poison wisely. If you listen to 10 different people you would be left with water and tree bark.

I'm in agreement with law dog.

I honestly struggled with low to no carb. I love high protein but it started to effect my kidneys. After years of trying to figure out what worked, even after discovering I couldn't do it like a man did, delayed eating windows was all that worked for me. Satisfaction, health benefits and it didn't impact my social/ family life.

We're all informed on hunting and maybe some here might know a little about hunting dogs. Some hunters will give they're hounds a fasting window just before season for the beneficial energy fasting creates. The ability to use energy more efficiently, heighten sense's, decrease inflammation...

I may have made a huge, embarrassing mistake posting the " post" I did in the health forum. I still stand by the information. You're wife might appreciate the contents.
