If you look At the first picture, the black wolf coming at the camera and the grey wolf upper right standing broadside both have a clearly wolf head. It jumped out at me first, and may help some of you who don’t deal with wolves recognize them.
at a distance body hidden to whatever degree the ears jump out at me as well.

Here is a mashup of a couple trail camera pics I got a while back that does a good job of showing a wolf and coyote broadside in nearly identical locations in relation to the camera. Granted the coyote is a little further from the camera, but you get the idea.

I’d rather have a blanket made from hi-line coyotes or those from southern Alberta or Saskatchewan.
Finer silkier fur.

Black wolves are selling very high at the auction last few years.
