what do you recommend?

need a log lift and prefer a honda engine. 22 ton is plenty for me and won't do anything over 24 inches, most at 16 to 18 inches

I have a dirty Hand tools

it is a kohler engine mine is 27 ton vertical and horizontal

it has been a good machine , they make a 22

it doesn't have a log lift not sure they make one with a lift in a 22 , 25 ,27 ton

with a vertical if you can roll it over to the machine , you just split it while sitting

most of the time now if I have one large enough I would need a lift , I already have the problem of lifting it in the truck so I noodle it about 3/4 of the way through and whack it with the maul

a set of timber tongs will save your hands and back lifting logs

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Best I ever used was built with a one cylinder Diesel engine that was once used by DOT to power lighting at highway construction sites. Would run forever on a gallon of fuel and couldn’t be stalled. Belonged to a friend.

I’ve got an old Huss honest Abe that works pretty good but it’s low to the ground.

Forget the log lift. It sounds great, but scares the crap out of me. Once you finagle it on and lift it up it becomes very unstable. At least mine did. You are far better off to noodle it on the ground and lift it up. If you anticipate 18" max...no problem. Then again, an 18 incher may not be as big of a problem dangling in the air.

I've had this one since 2006 it's a speeco 22 ton horizontal and vertical but got tired of rolling the big pieces around after I got older.i put this wheel chair lift on it and works great.if the motor Peter's out I'll put a atv winch on it.you can buy a 2500lb one at harbor freight for 80.00 plus tax it's a no brainer.i still split some by hand but not as much as I once did.it will split/cut about anything I feed it.
