Not sure! They sure taste good here on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Black Ducks around here have "rice-breast" most offen. I know it's not supposed to be harmful to humans, but it looks NASTY! I won't even shoot 'em.

1- Canvasback after a month eating sego pond weed
2- Common merganser after they have been in the wild rice beds for a month after 1 Nov with 1/2 inch fat on them, "it's roasting time"
3-the last duck to fill the limit, so you can go home on a foul-fowl day of hunting

Oh, C'mon . . . Seriously?!?!?!? You left out pintails!!! Dang, how does a greenwing beat our a pintail, or a widgeon even? #disappointed

I don't disagree drake pinnies are gorgeous. I do think they are overhyped slightly. I do also this fully plumed drake wigeon are beautiful birds. I just don't get very many of either of the two.
