Take my time, enjoy the experience. When conditions are poor don't set out the line. Get a decent multi species line working and then follow through.

Catch at least one coyote and successfully skin and tan it and attempt to learn how to snare coyotes.

Last year was the first time in over 40 years that I had more than just a couple dog proof traps out. I had a goal of 1 coyote and 1 bobcat. I read as much as I could of here and other places and watched a bunch of YouTube videos. I ended up catching 23 coyotes, 1 bobcat, 3 beaver and 1 otter. All these were first for me. I also caught 20 each coon and possums and 10+ skunks and a handful of armadillo.

I am setting goals of 25 coyotes, 5 bobcats , 10 beaver and 2 otter this year. Going to be running a river line for about a week so should see a fair share of coon.
