When Joshua's long day was over did that cause the next night to be shorter?

It aligns human activity with daylight, taking better advantage of daylight hours.

In the summer when I worked construction we normally moved start time to day break so we could avoid some of the heat. No one had to tell us to do it it was just natural and common since. Today people all need to be told what and how to do everything.

I don't think most people make their own hours. when you work a shift job you can't start an hour earlier, that's up to the business not you. But I'm probably thinking simple minded.

That being said, I could care less if they ever had daylight savings time

Every day working man it makes no difference anymore except upsetting their schedule. Might have been a real purpose and saving of energy when it first started. Now days with modern lighting, working people doing 3 shifts 24/7/365. Isn't it really moot point? Only one might get some advantage with actual day light. Is people with what old timers called (Bankers Hours). Rest of us cows are used to be milked on same schedule. Don't matter where the sun is in sky.

Problem with the above is since the Fauci flu scare more are working remotely from home unless in production work, heck even DR"s apps are via phone

Right.. But with modern lighting 24/7/365 communication. Where does screwing up sleep schedule fit. If I'm logging in to work from same time every morning at home. Or 3 shift guy baking donuts for KT. Where is there any real savings in that for either. Year without the change and everyone would forget was even a thing. If there so advantage it has to be for corporate types. Sure don't see where is any for average Joe.

When I was running traps before going to school all the years I taught I appreciated having a little time of light each morning, that was when I started running traps at 3-4 am every morning. Now that I’m retired it doesn’t matter.

Would make rush hour two hours but not as intense. I go for standard time forever.

I believe there’s also a spike in traffic accidents, sometimes fatal, immediately following time change
