Gonna make a few sets after work! Tuesdays I get out at 1! I can’t wait to bed some traps. Feel a lot more confident now. A few sets for canines and will throw in a few DP’s too.

Good luck, Smash! Hopefully you’ve got some pictures for us in a few days. I’m eager for our season to open up here.

You guys are making me jealous, I wish our seasons all opened a month before they do. Less than a week to wait now though

I get real anxious to check them. Almost like sick in my stomach with nerves. Does anyone else get like that or is it because I’m newer? I don’t get sick like that when I go huntin??

It's like Christmas morning. Can't wait to see what found its way onto your line and into your traps.

Especially when I know the critters have moved.

Well the deer are moving like crazy , my trail cam has had a hundred pics the past two nights. I did see a fat raccoon but I don’t have cams up in the field where I intend on setting. We did see two foxes in the field one evening upon headed home. I’d like at least ONE of em!

Good luck

I am finally slowing down on being gone to be able to start putting out some traps. Hopefully this weekend I can start getting some in the ground myself

K Snow said it best. Yes, I agree there have been a lot of sleepless nights over the years wondering what I’m going to have in the morning. At the same time, I’ve had mornings where I was pretty confident I would have a pretty full line and I didn’t. Looking forward to seeing a bunch of catch pictures, though.

Take some pictures of your sets today.
The before and after pics are my favorite.

Here is sort of a flat set I guess. I dipped the tallest twig with Jackpot lure and sprinkled some fox urine around.

[Linked Image]

This other one I found this backstop of woody brush and I stuffed some sheeps wool under it and placed a smidge of early season fox lure from fur country lures; I can’t recall the name

Additionally placed one DP to try the cherry scented coon grabber on a trail

It was way too hot today and I kinda had to rush home to go pick up the other truck at the shop that was getting something done to the suspension. So I’m not really relaxed at all this afternoon. Plus took the dog in for bloodwork and her rabies vaccine today. A little too hectic paced for me but maybe it will all pay off in the morning! Thanks for tuning in everybody

Thank you all! I’d love a fox, or a coyote, or a skunk! Or a Possum!!
I need the practice.

Raccoons I can do without but I know I’ll get em. Fatty things…
