Tell him congrat's!!!!

I love those wonky antlered deer.

One of my most memorable buck I ever got was an 8 point. It was a fork horn on one side. The other side had a forked brow tine the main beam on that side came up and forked off with i point on one and 3 on the other. Kind of like deformed hands. It also had a bunch of "bumps" that you could hang a ring off, but weren't technically legal points. They came up off the main beam and sort of palmated. It's kind of hard to describe. If those points would've been legal it would've been a very odd looking 14 point. With 2 on one side and 12 on the other.

It got lost when my parents moved. No clue where it went. My dad said he gave a bunch of stuff to his favorite bar. So it might be on the wall there.

Nice deer nephew!!! You still carrying around your tag? You might as well break down and make you a pumpkin pile. So much photographic evidence to prove that’s the way to hunt them bigguns. Plus Halloween is over You can get a real deal on some used ones. Just drive around and look for some on a porch. Ring doorbell and say you’ll haul them off no charge. Win win !!

Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.

… I have to take a little credit for it

I think my positive reinforcement after a miss improved his shooting

Yes some people spend a lifetime just hunting And they are happy to just get a deer Any deer is a good in their mind And other hunters focus on a big buck And will only shoot if it meets the hunters standards The biggest deer is not always the most difficult to kill I have sometimes been called a meat hunter I readily admit to that title and in all honestly am proud of it At the same time I have taken a few buck that are very nice buck and better than average n the places I hunt I get a very large amount of satisfaction in providing food for the table If it is a dove or a woodcock a mixed bag of waterfowl a couple of pheasants and maybe a rabbit a yearling deer and if you happen to be in the right place when Bubba made an unexpected appearance it is all good Some of my smallest deer took a huge amount of time and willingness to deal with the weather conditions or slob hunters or whatever it was And other distraction And some of the bigger ones more or less fell in my lap as I was expecting some other outcome In he end When I get something I feel the Gods of hunting have smiled on me and try to be thankful foe al the times that I had a successful hunt Congrats to your buddy He did good And I have found that once you achieve some goal it is easier to repeat it over and over again So now he may be at the start of a new chapter of his hunting career
