Yep everything can change tomorrow in the markets, anything!!! But the markets said a yahoo today in response to the election results today. Less Gov restrictions and a better handling on foreign matters. I see a stronger US from what has happened over night.

I'm not sure it's so much because of the result as it is because the election is now over.........FINALLY !

I do know the world outside of US what I have read is a glad on their financial part. China will be tariff bound which helps other countries sell goods to us instead of China. Biden middle name was China.

We will see a stronger US dollar in 4 years is my 2¢.

Just watch. Four years from now, the democrats will try to take credit for the economy saying it happened due to policies put in place by Biden...

that will be in 2 years at mid terms I'm guessing.

One of the pending real concerns is the massive debt, both mortgage, credit card and other debt consumers have accumulated buying during the higher inflation times. Cash availability or liquidity is not real strong right now.
Lot of manufacturing places here in WI are slow with much less overtime, some firms are down below 40 and a couple near me are having employees off one whole week per month and the whole month of December will be off for one firm.

Rate cut?

A rate cut would increase inflation, so I would assume Powell would do that just out of spite.

For the Fed the recent jobs report and the reporting of slowing in the manufacturing sectors will probably out weigh concerns about rapidly rising inflation.

There will be a rate cut and inflation will start to rise about when Trump gets inaugurated.

I'm sure there'll be a rate cut. Hopefully only 25bp.

Agree with this. It was a good day in the market but we still have a bumpy economic road ahead of us.

Rate cut but interest rates on consumer loans will go up.

I read the other day that investors are worried rate cuts will slow as two policies of the Trump presidency will be inflationary. Tariffs and tax cuts (or more like tax credits these days)
Not sure I agree tax cuts will be inflationary, just increased debt.
