My Uncle tried them in SE Asia and wasn't fond of them either. He said if you drank enough beer you could choke one down.

^^^^ My Dad was there also and said the Snakes tasted OK and once in a while they were lucky enough to kill a wild Hog.Any rations that were dropped in the Japs usually got to them first.
