That bit coin is really deep and it takes a good metal detector to find it. I'm thinking the day is coming it will be found at the bottom of the governments pocket, but sorry that pocket has had a hole in it too long.

Well it looks like president elect Trump wants to get the keystone rolling again.

Should be interesting

After reading that it would be an uphill battle, I was very surprised that they removed the pipe they never used, just in case this happened.

The price for each oil is set before blending, not after. US refineries were built to process heavy Middle Eastern crude and not the light crude that the Bakken produces. They can process a blend of each which is where the Keystone came into play. Heavy Canadian crude, as opposed to Middle Eastern crude, would be blended with the Bakken crude.

Our small town was to be a man camp hub for the pipeline. The man camp infrastructure was in place when Biden pulled the permit. Keystone sold the property back to the county for $1 plus a $1m payment to the county for accepting the offer. It’s now going to public auction with opening bid of $300k. All of the pipeyards are now empty with the pipe being sold to foreign countries. Now a day, If a project can’t be completed in four years then it’s never going to happen (and even then a new admin can revoke the operating permit).
