Honestly where I shot it was about a mile drag through a hay marsh.

A 300lb brute would killed me

Besides, those ones with the big head gear are tough and gamey anyway.

You would be better off trying to eat the hunting boot that was worn to kill some of the skanky old bucks. Antlers do get my heart pumping though.
