was talking this over with my son

he makes a good argument for the 350 legend

the CVA stainless threaded muzzle for LA humidity and you can then run a brake or a can to further reduce felt recoil.

170gr American white tail

I ran the numbers on that
if you figure 2 up 2 down you get to 175yards and 5 inches low at 200

this has very available ammo intended for deer hunting and gets you about 300fps more at 200 yards.

so one negative of the cva is the plastic stock is 14" LOP and that might be long for her , that would be corrected by ordering a boyds as they make a replacement for it.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have one of those as well and your right, when I first got mine it had a Springfield 1973 trapdoor ladder sight on it and it was dead on out to 500 yards with the Remington 300 grain hollow point, while some don’t like the Hornady leverlution I do at least the 325 grain ones they have dropped several deer in the hair tracks for me and only one made it past 20 yards

If I was buying today I would look seriously at the various uberti copies of the 1885 in particular the Courtney stalking rifle Boones fine guns has one in stock and I have been drooling over it for a few weeks now
