You mentioned steroids so I'm guessing you have already been checked by a health care provider? I'm not usually one to tell someone else to go to the doctor, but my dad recently had a nagging cough he couldn't kick and he finally went to get checked out and it turned out to be pneumonia. If you've already been checked out, disregard. But if you haven't, it might be worth a visit.

Otherwise I'll echo all the suggestions of various adult beverages. When in doubt, mix them all together. Can't cough if you're passed out on the couch.

You take BP meds ? Lisinopril or fosinopril line of drugs cause it

Sorry your having a hard time smash.. had the exact same symptoms for 2 weeks.on the advice from my doctor I rinsed out my sinus with a Neti pot. I felt better almost immediately. Seasonal allergies.

I have one of those. I don’t feel anything in my head at all but I guess stuff could be draining. There’s nothing like drowning right before work so I’ll give it a go!

For the past 5 years every fall I get a relentless cough that I can't stop. MANY trips to the Dr. and ER. They still don't know what causes it. Could be allergies or GERD they say. See if they will prescribe Benzonatate. That worked good for me until last year for some reason. Mucinex DM helped me the best. Try that as well.

Same here. My Dad went in with a nagging cough after about 2 weeks figuring nothing. Doc said the same but did a chest X ray anyhow. They called him back a few hours later to set up Chemo and radiation treatmemts immediately as he had a very aggressive form of lung cancer. Said without immediate treatment he'd be dead within 2 mos.

I'm guessing the doc already did a chest X ray but if not, demand one.

That said, the last round of Covid I had a couple months ago produced a cough that lasted over a month. Many of us don't even realize when we have covid anymore but I just happened to have a few test kits laying around. Just felt like a cold with a cough is all.
