Added another 25 rats to make 167 so far. Size is still holding up. I'm not trapping hard or traveling far so has been enjoyable. The rat season opens tomorrow in the Mississippi zone but I'm not going to trap it this year. Good luck to those who are .

White fur spot on a beaver. I wish the spot had been bigger.

White fur spot on a beaver. I wish the spot had been bigger. I’ve had that before too. Always in the middle on the belly side. Must be some sort of recessive genetics.

Nice job Walt. Keep up the good work.
I'm just over 80 coon so far and the freezer is filling up, lol. I've started to scrape some now to make room. I caught 2 skunks today but am shocked by the lack of skunks this year in my area. I've also caught over 20 possum.
Steve R,
I've caught beaver with those white spots as well. Always on the belly.

I'm going to hang a few CRs tomorrow. Might throw In a few DPs at several locations. Will probably toss most of the coyotes.

I don't expect too much but you never know. If they would go up I'd have some and if not, it doesn't matter. I'm like most of us trapping today, I do it because I love to do it. I know you're the same way. Good luck on piling up the rats and mink.

Too much rain to set the river line with more to come in a day or two. We will see if I can do that at all this season. Couple rats in colonies today other than that empty traps. We got somewhat over .5 inches but with the 4 two weeks ago this raised the feeder streams about 4 inches and carrying a lot of mud.
