Nice bunch of rats Walt. I made it over the 100 coon mark but it took 15 days. Was very slow the last two days. Not sure if it's a moon phase thing but I've noticed poorer trapping on full moon nights. I will probably have all my coon sets pulled by Monday to get caught up in the fur shed. Good luck to all of you this weekend.

That's a boatload of coon Lance. Are you using mostly d.p.s? I took the afternoon off and got a nice limit of perch as I was getting low on fish fillets.

Mainly DP's but I did have some 160's out as well. Also caught 23 possum, lol. I'd trade you the possum for your limit of perch. Nice try Lance! lol Got 13 rats today. Might have to go fishing tomorrow for the last open water trip of the year.

Lance: Maybe Moosetrot will trade you his possum shirt for some of your grinners.

Funny Walt. I didn't save any of the possum even though they averaged 50 cents at last years FHA Auction. Good luck fishing.

The weather sure has been conducive to trapping but it sounds like it will turn midweek.

I pulled my traps today to get some of the fur processed and to get a little more rest. I ended up with 104 coon, 6 skunks, a fisher and way too many possum. I'll start on some water trapping after deer season. Good luck to all of you deer hunters and be safe out there.

With rain forecasted the next couple of days and gun opener Saturday, pulled the few coon traps I had out. Tight chains and good luck to everyone. Dave

Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping. May I be half the man he was.

Those are some healthy looking flattails! I think last seasons abnormally mild winter helped out alot of various types of critters to just keep putting on the weight.
