Enjoy sipping your mint julips in your silk robe in your twilight years, seems like yesterday it was 1978, no idea where time went!

Cool. Didn’t know there was a connection. Started using Iron Trail last year. Very happy with them.

I think this new arrangement is very good thing for both the Caven's and Jackson Family. I took a few minutes to check out the new Minnesota Trapline Website and found it to be outstanding for ease of use and packed with clear and useful information. Simply put one of the best looking website out there. i wish the venture the best of luck. I updated my dealer page to link to the new Website Minnesota Trapline Products

When I was at a convention and down to the last 5 dollars in my wallet, Nancy took the 5 blue colour bill at par; Wonder if the same will happen now.?????

Best of luck with the new endeavor

Good to hear. One of the really important traits or business sense is knowing when the right situations or people come together and then know how to proceed. In many ways running a business is like being on the trap line and with wisdom gained through experience you make a set and you have that good feeling you are in the right place with the right set.

I trap for a living. Whenever someone asks me where I buy this or that for trapping, I blurt out like I have Turrets Syndrome, "MTP!"
Not because they carry just about everything that you can think of and its quality merchandise, but because they present themselves as real people. It's like buying something from a good friend.

Congrats Tim and Nancy. You both know what hard work and dedication is to building and running a solid business. You also have learned how to put the fires out that come with running a business.

I do hope you both have a well deserved life in the coming years. I too am nearing the next chapter in my life. I just don't know what I will do when I leave this all behind. It is difficult to break old habits.

The best to you both. You will also have a transition to cope with as we all do at this time of our lives. You sure have left a legacy that you should be proud of.

As requested by Mr. Dobbins,

I called MTP about 1996. A very nice lady (Nancy) talked to me and helped me pick out my first trap order. Since I didn't know squat, and I had some stupid questions, she said to hold on she would get someone to help me. A guy gets on the phone and helped me for about an half an hour at least, probably closer to an hour. His name was Tim. He answered all my stupid questions and really explained what I needed. He didn't try to sell me anything. He just helped me pick out what I thought would be good traps for just starting out in Alaska. I think I spend close to $300 on that order. Then he called me back with some more information and gave me a deal I couldn't pass up. He sent me a bunch of MB 650's and MB 750's. I went out and caught some Lynx and Coyotes immediately. My trapping friends were all worked up. How could I just start catching these critters when I didn't even know what I was doing. Where did I get all this info. I told them my friend at MTP was helping me and his name is Tim. He was really nice and they should call him. They about fell over. They already knew of Tim and Nancy, but had never taken the time to talk with them. That's when they told me he owned MTP and Nancy was his wife. I was very humbled by that.

Then I get a nice note from Nancy in the mail saying she hopes I catch lot's of stuff in Alaska and that she was the one on the phone with me. I have been a happy customer ever since she answered the phone. Thanks to Tim and Nancy for helping this trapper get started. I have tried to pass that on to others just as much as they did for me. Good luck to the new owners, those are some big shoes to fill.

Just like Super Wide described in his post I just had a great experience with Luke Jackson and Rob C. attempting to solve a problem getting parts for traps.
Great communication and patience...thanks guys!
