My grandfather (who has passed several years ago) taught me to drink by having beer on had for me to steal. I think he knew but never called me out. His brand was Pabst Blue Ribbon. Yep I started out roughing it! lol His brother who was from either Arkansas or Oklahoma drank Pearl beer. He would bring a couple cases up on his rare visits. My grandfather would give it to me. At a very young age the man gave me my first case of beer. Liked it better than Pabst. I know Pabst is still producing. Is Pearl? Every know and than get a six of Pabst to pay tribute to my grandfather. Thinking about hunting down some Pearl if it is still around.

My mom likes Pabst. I do too. Used to be one of the more inexpensive beers. I really love it on tap. A local bar and grill always has it. Potters. It’s our little family favorite place.

Pearl is still being made at a Miller plant in Texas according to the internet. I'm not sure I've seen it on shelves for years around here though.

Heck, I still drink Pabst in bottles when I can find it. No shame in that game.

When my wife and I started dating, her parents owned a little bar/grocery/sporting goods store in a German Catholic town of about 200 people. The town had 3 bars at one time and all remained profitable. They had Pabst on tap for 25 cents for a frosted mug. Later had to switch to Milwaukee Best as Pabst in legs was no longer being carried and had to raise the price to 50 cents. I still remember the uproar.

Pop a top on PBR every once in awhile to toast the old timers in the family that have passed. They use to drink it like water Not a bad beer just I prefer a stout

Back in the day I had a neighbor that would share his PBR with some of us. He kept a couple of cases of cans in the trunk of his T-bird.

If you could drink that stuff warm you could drink about anything.

Drank many cans and bottles of PBR in my day, among others. I could drink a case a day back then.

Now I drink Grain Belt Nordeast. It's brewed not too far away in New Ulm, MN. I couldn't even tell you who owes or brews PBR anymore.
