Wise ol Indian told me if seeing no deer from stand...move stand.
He also said...if wolves have ate all the deer...he is sorry. Find other place to deer hunt with no wolves.

I'm getting skunked where I hunt too. Out all last week. Finally saw a nice group of does yesterday morning. They wouldn't grow horns though.

Around here anyways the deer are still there. They are simply not moving in daylight hours.Where they bed down you can't see two feet in front of you.You try to bust thru the deer just walk circles around you

Swamp Wise old man once said. Hunt land and only land you have permission to be on. If deer move to standing corn across the road and no hunting allowed you - . ! Not every one has 1000 acres to hunt on Just saying No, avoiding the Profanity filter. But Jbyrd - you are correct I hunt b on two separate 80acre pieces of land. and One is fallow , the other a corn, bean rotation farm I'm Blessed to have them for free to hunt on.

Swamp Wise old man once said. Hunt land and only land you have permission to be on. If deer move to standing corn across the road and no hunting allowed you SOL. ! Not every one has 1000 acres to hunt on Just saying Are you implying that I said to trespass or than I have access to 1000s of acres of "free" private land? Smh There are many options for hunting land.....find a lease, research and find good public land, apply for quota public areas. Will this require more effort and money? Absolutely! I spend thousands of dollars on deer hunting annually. I have no other recreational "hobbies". I own no bass boat or golf clubs. If you really want to be successful, you have to sometime work for it. If deer hunting isn't important enough to expend the time and money to ensure success...then go fishing or play golf during deer season. Or, go half-arse and then complain. My entire life has evolved around deer hunting. I own NO hunting land...never will...too poor. But, over the years, I have searched and worked at finding hunting land. I have tracts I have leased for more than 2.5 decades (tip: never give up a hunting lease once you get it.) I also continuously search and research good public opportunities. My favorites are state areas with antler restrictions, low quotas, and bonus tagging. I also like NWR hunts that provide bonus deer tagging. Most of these require some road time to get to....but that's just a little fuel.

Its time to look elsewhere or go without venison.

Don't try walk hunting. You'll scare em all away.
lol, this show starts soon over here. If I sit still for two weeks, I'm so stiff I can't make the shot.

Geez swamp lightened up. Did I say you were trespassing? I said I WONT TRESPASS!! You implied it’s just a matter of moving ones stand. Not that simple in some cases. It is that simple Jbyrd. But, you may have to move your stand to another tract of land.....yes..where you have permission or a permit...lol

I never said anyone was lazy or don't know how to hunt. I simply stated what I do. Maybe I take it more serious than most others. I like success in the deer woods.
I don't like spending time on stand and not seeing anything...a day or two is OK, but I'm gonna make a move soon if zero activity. That move may be closer to what I think is the bedding area. Or it may be sitting at different times or all day. Or it may include heading to other tracts of land that I've planned for over the past few months while you were fishing.
Simple as that.
