Should NEVER happen. Too many people use hi powered scopes as binoculars. See it a lot these days, makes me crazy. People need to spend less and buy less magnification using the savings for binos. Range shooting is another ball game. Osky

Why not go educate the moron today? I'm 127 miles away and have no idea which one of the many people that hunt there it was.

How came you by this information? Did the boys tell you? Or the neighbor himself? Boys told the wife wife told me this morning when I spoke to her. If it was a neighbor it would have been a renter not the owner of the property. But it could be any number of people that let hunt over there.

Unfortunately, if you were planning on taking him out you have now posted about it on the internet.
Glad your boys are OK. If there are that many hunters, I agree orange would be a good idea.
And, yes, he should have used binoculars. I have zero intention of taking anyone out ever to be very clear. it was Cleary expressing my belief and feelings it is justified to shoot anyone you seepointing a gun at you you never know what their intentions are. To many stories of trespassers shooting land owners to take chances if you see them pointing a gun at you to just assume they mean no harm. I have told them always have orange on during deer season. But they are kids and may have just been out back playing with the dogs and decided to go further. Then again they may have had orange o. I didn't ask an edit also happened when my wife and daughter were taking one of the other dogs to the vet.

If you are in the woods during gun season you better have orange on.
Dude not my place to say but you are away from home WAAAAYYY too much. Nothing but bad things can and will happen if you are absent too much.
This comment might make you mad but remember the day you read it when sadness hits your heart. Not many families stay together if the man or woman is gone most of the time.
Praying you don't become a statistic typically I would agree with you on me being away from home but in the last 7 weeks I have worked a grand total of 9 days.

I think it happens more than you know. I’m pretty sure I’ve had glass on me while checking traps on property next to hunted properties. Not that it’s comforting but at those distances I wouldn’t even hear the bang if something did go wrong.
