You are probably around the Juniata and Spruce creeks if Im thinking correctly. Im over in Indiana county west of you. Set up every bridge or culvert that your trapline takes you with a mix of all above sets and you will catch some. Be patient though.

BBB in the above post has it in my opinion. Mink are land animals that go in water. The dirt hole/pocket sets, same thing just one goes down and the other goes sideways work well. This time of the year they are mostly on land (the males) once it freezes they go to water more. Target them near water but not necessarily in water right now. Find brushy spots where rabbits are and little birds jumping around. Find dinner sized life and they will be there. Oh someone mentioned the old victor #2s great mink and rat trap......jk

I have caught some very big buck mink around farms a long ways away from any water source.

You guys are probably confusing him............and be sure to set every chicken coop too, mink frequent them. Mink are in the water this time of year.

NTO---take a look thru the archives. Not sure if they still exist but at one time there were some extensive mink threads particularly from Seldom. You can likely pick up some things looking at what he posted over the years if its still there.
