Wasn't there a place called Flint somewhere that had toxic city water? City water tastes terrible, we get ours from our pond, I like it.

That started out as water too! LOL When I was a kid there was a duck hunting outfit on the Missouri River. They had a shallow sand point well. When mixed with whiskey, the water would turn grey. The Ol’ boys would always sing: “Grey whiskey grey whiskey, grey whiskey I cry, if I don’t get grey whiskey I think I will die”. lol

Most bottled water comes from a municipal water system. Especially the cheaper 24 and 30 packs.

I've never considered drinking water straight from the tap as unusual. Always had good municipal/community tap water. Years ago a cousin came out visiting from Michigan. As soon as we got to my place he asked if he could get a glass of water, I promptly went over to the sink and filled him up a glass and handed it to him, he looked at me as though I had two heads. I had to explain to him that drinking our tap water was just fine; he was in disbelief.

what I have noticed is , every late summer the municipal water would start to have a sulfur smell and i called about it once and the guy said we are going to start flushing lines next week , it should get better .
what I am not seeing is near as much line flushing , where they go out to fire hydrants around town at specific points and put a big 5 inch hose on and let it run into the street
it was generally the last weeks of September first weeks of October or around then.
budgets what they are , they may be trying less flushing as it costs labor to watch it so maybe it tastes off longer jus a thought , ours hasn't changed , a week or two late summer sulfur smell then good again I htink they are still flushing in my town.
also there have been a number of news stories talking about water issues and that makes people think bottled is better.
I buy a few cases of bottled a year but they are to keep in the truck for working in heat or hunting.
otherwise I drink tap
wife buys some jugs of water for tea and coffee at the store , half the time I fill them back up with tap and let her think they just last a really long time. i think she knows but doesn't say anything.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

We have a well and I very much like the flavor of the water we get out of it. I've noticed that many of my friends and family members, who have city water, now drink bottled water. A few others use expensive filters to remove the nasty chemical taste somewhat, of their city water. Is the city water being intentionally made to taste bad to promote bottled water and water filters?
Keith I wouldn’t know about a conspiracy but look into the origin of municipalities putting fluoride in our water. If I recall it’s a byproduct of fertilizer and they needed a place to unload it so they sold it as helping reduce cavities. Stuff is poisonous

We make a couple trips each week to fill up water jugs at the local grocery store. It's filtered by RO, UV. Our well water tastes terrible. I tested it a few years ago as did a couple of water softener people. Their results pretty much confirmed mine.

Original words are "Rye Whisky, Rye Whisky, Rye Whiskey I cry, If I can't get Rye Whiskey I think I will die!"
