Actually they were named "the first legal one I see", sometimes the nickname was used by leaving out the "legal".

I've hunted out of a few of those, but never after 2 yrs after being built, and that was in the mid 70's, when just SEEING a Deer was a big deal!

And we ate venison, Roasts, steaks and burgers. Not $200 spent on a little bit of meat mixed with stuff like baloney or ministicks

No one went to the doctor back then, they just rubbed dirt on it to make it better. My Uncle cut himself with a chainsaw from the corner of his lip to his belt buckle, drove himself to my Grandparents house for a ride to the hospital and then made my Aunt stop at a gas station on the way because all the blood had ruined his pack of cigarettes.

You fellers go ahead and hunt outta those "built in the tree" stands. My butt is too old to build it or hunt from it.

most of them have all fallen down around here. Got to say i shotba deerbofr two out of them. typically a big step up from when I was climbing trees and setting in forks. I would get really fancy now and then and use some thin rope to make a seat so I was not standing in the fork the entire time. That ended. when I got my loggy from my dad and grandpa one Christmas.
