It wasn't stolen. It was given to them. Now several generations later it's supposed to revert back to the Indians. At least that's what I got from watching 1883.

Ok, I’m only on season 4, so haven’t seen the rest yet. I’ll watch the 1883 show also.

I just knew SGT's guess would turn into a rumor....

No that isn't the plan at all. so far. This past new show finally showed the direction using those amazing horses to begin saving the ranch. What a group of fantastic horses. With Taylor himself putting them through their paces.

Towards the end of that latest show, the HINT was given. Of saving the ranch from further litigation and taxing to death. It was brilliant. The producing of it was brilliant, IMO.

This opened the rest of series 5 to untold new ideas.

I STILL miss that brick wall built dapple gray......
