Did you pop some SJA? This is literally just a skinned patch. If one or two pops it wont be life threatening. Yes. It's not what shows on the surface as healed, it's what you don't see unhealed beneath and infection can spread quickly.

Yes. It's not what shows on the surface as healed, it's what you don't see unhealed beneath and infection can spread quickly. This is along the lines of what my doctor said Danny. I am leaving in a few minutes to get my stitches out from behind my ear. They cut my cancer spot out and took a skin graft from my thigh a week ago and stitched it behind my ear. Was given instructions about what to do and if the stitches popped loose we'd be doing it all over again. Got home and went out the next day and set off what few traps I had set. Good luck on your procedure. Russ

I miss the days when sunshine was good for you and a dark tan was a sign of good health. Isn't that the truth? I had a basil cell carcinoma removed below my left eye several years ago. No problem since. Prayer for you to have the same result.

Wow that is a zipper. Don't be playing slug bug with that there. Did they let you take any pictures before they closed it up? If I have my phone I usually take pictures of my wounds before they see me up.

I shoot left handed and its my right shoulder so all good Trapperkeck, they whip stitched the last one I had. I asked about fleshing, had to describe what that was, got told no, then told it was sewed this way so if one pops the whole thing wont come unglued. I am going to going to flesh a coyote and a coon Saturday morning. Grandson wants to tan them. He will do some fleshing. Was his first coyote. Caught in a trap he got at Cletus's spoonbill days. I think it will be fine. I can move my arm now with no tightness feeling.

I shoot lefthanded as well and have a stain on my left shoulder I've been putting off getting checked out. I would hate to mess up my shooting shoulder. Your post has prompted me to set up an appointment with the dermatologist.

I hear ya on the "not much shoulder left" thing. They had to make 3 different cuts to get to the bottom of mine. I thought they were going to take out some bone. Keck, where did you have yours done? That looks nasty! I was going to check out Midwest Dermatology in St Cloud. I had a basil cell carcinoma removed at Lakewood Dermatology several years ago. But, they told me they couldn't remove a cyst I had on my hand, that I would have to go to an orthopedic place to have that done.

Good luck with it, Danny! I had one taken off my ankle about 5-6 years ago. Had just gotten home from SD, actually came home just for that, 11th of December. He got done sewing it up, and I ask about the prognosis, he said to stay off of it. I ask some trapper questions, no to everything. He said your skin is so tight on your ankles and wrists, that it will bee a month or better! I was PO’ed, cause the first consultation, they talked like I could go back to doing everything like normal! End of January, I could finally wear my boots again, so I loaded up and went trapping down by Medicine Lodge. Hope yours goes better than mine did!

I had a 1 1/2 inch dia Basal cell removed in the spring. Seems to have healed up good. No down time, and a 13cm scar.

I got my ear tipped earlier today. I find out in about a week if it's cancer. My doctor didn't remove the spot by my left eye. She thought it was to close to my eye for her to safely remove and said I need to see an ophthalmologist. Keith

Biopsied my ear when they did my shoulder. Squamous cancer is what they said it is. Going to whittle it off Jan 8. Not real worried about this one, so did shoulder first. Make sure to watch it afterwards. My friend James, who had his ear cancer removed this Summer, has something odd growing back in the same place. He said he is going to ask them go deep next time.
