Not that they can't shoot, that buck is dead, it's the fact they can't track or follow a blood trail.

I txt picture to the neighbor on one side that lives there to see if he had lost it. It was not him or his sons. He sent me pictures back of it on his trail cams said he had 6 years of pictures of him. I'm not sure he was that old but he was not in good shape so who knows. I don't know the #s or all the different people hunting on the other sides so can't ask them. probably a good thing because it would end badly if I found out whom was scoping my kids with their rifle early in the year. So I guess I will have a European mount done on the stinking thing so it can be used for my wife's educational classes she gives and she won't be taking one the boys have killed and working about damaging them. So at least it won't go to wast. I just wish who ever shot it had made a better shot and was able to recover him.

Strange to assume it was shot. There are any number of things that kill deer all the time, cars, predators, rival bucks, CWD, etc... We don't have cdw in my area yet, it was over 300 yard from the nearest road but yes car is possible but the biggest thing is its been gun and black powder season and there are a lot of hunt 2 weekend a year hit a paper plate at 50 yards my gun is sited in guys that hunt on the ground behind me and across the road. Old guy across the road told me he missed one then said the blood ran out. Basically if it does not drop or he doesn't see it go down its a miss!!!. Then there is the guy that was pointing his gun at my kids this year. Basically a lot of people not responsible. Yes it was to far gone to see if it were shot and could be other things but during our gun season and it's location the most probable is it was shot.

Not that they can't shoot, that buck is dead, it's the fact they can't track or follow a blood trail. You don't know anything of that deer. Guilty until proven innocent. Merica!

You got a metal detector. Assuming no exit No guts, heart lungs, skin or meat on much of it. Not going to find anything at this point.

Indiana has CWD. Check your State Fish and Game site. Probably not a good idea to play with the parts, especially without gloves. not in my area.

Regardless of how he died, it's a shame to see a fine animal like that go to waste.
One day you'll find someone who is obsessed with you. It's probably going to be a dog. But, it is what it is.
