grin They're so darn cute then...and they grow up to be magnificent beings of sheer strength and beauty.

It took drawing one for me to begin to feel as Jack has described them.

I'm a wolf guy, not a cat guy. I've read that the white on the tip of the tail is a guide for the youngsters in heavy forests/poor light (see the white-tipped tail in leopards). On the back of the ears, I would surmise that they might be faux eyes to dissuade other tigers from attacking. Russians in the Far East wear knit hats with rearward facing "eyes" just to avoid tiger attacks from the rear. I've see no scientific evidence of that, just my own observation. Your take on the subject is probably more valid than mine.If the white spots are, indeed, to ward off predation, why haven't marten or mink developed them, mainly to ward off goshawks and great horned owls? Would those raptors even care if there were "eyes" watching them?

Yes , the floor reference threw me ! I finally got it !

W Side 151, Thank you for your kindness, though Jack is the talent , along with all others here , you too, all have special talents. They just take on their own unique forms. The spice of life.

Coyote Addict, thank you, I really work hard on the eyes to everything. It's the first thing people see . It's also how one reads the intent and moods of everything.

That's right, Jack ! Just remembered seeing the wood gatherers in India , always walking in a line , wearing masks backwards , the faces of the masks looking out behind them. All for the tigers.

Thanks for the reminder, Jack, I had forgotten that.

Let's see those cats and Sharons tutorial of them one more time. Too soon to let them fade into oblivion.

Really like this shot of you . I try to imagine what it's like, having hands on such a powerful, amazing animal. Sleeping in your lap. To feel that power, even the weight of lifting up one of those front legs. To hear any sounds they make during the process.

Jack, I found a couple of short videos showing black tigers. Not sure why I can't show the video instead of just the link, but here they are. Pretty amazing.

grin

You've seen that blue black glossy sheen before, I'm sure. In the sun really brings it out ! I see that indigo sheen especially on native's hair. Such as Asians, dot and American Indians.

Dark brown and black tones on animals have it too. Everything does, really. Or else I'm going the way of Vincent van Gogh .... wink
