We get more back than we pay.
Lots of people are tax exempt in the north.people who are native,on pensions with a fixed income people who live a subsistence lifestyle,and disabled people etc are eligible for tax exeptions.
Those things dont change when political parties change..

The government closest to the people is the most effective and beneficial. If municipal government in our area had a deficit more than one year they'd be voted out. Volunteer fire companies, EMS services, police, bridge and road repairs, storm water, building permits, etc all have a greater impact than what Washington is doing.
